Just a quick post to show you some lovely fabrics that I got for my birthday - Mum has already asked me to make her a stripy tea-cosy using MY fabric as my first proper project on my new machine!!!
Happy Birthday, Dottie - I hope this comment doesn't vanish like my first attempt, which was MUCH cleverer than this one ;)
I share your love of books and bookshops, but you've got me beat by a mile in the sewing department! My ancient machine goes forward and backward and...no, that's it...to and fro, only. Yours looks ready to lend its shiny red self to all sorts of creative endeavor. Have fun!!
What a fab looking machine! Hope you have as much fun crafting as your mum does..... I've got two girls and they are just starting to enjoy sewing on the machine too. I hope they don't see this photo of yours, or I'll know what they'll be pestering me for for Christmas! Happy Sewing, Plum.
Oooh how fun! You should probably put a beautiful stash like that under lock and key -- you do know your mum loves gorgeous fabric, right??? Can't wait to see your finished tea cosy!
I was in John Lewis this week and I stood in front of these machines for about 1/2 an hour before letting the willpower win over (might have to go back next month!) -
enjoy all your sewing projects and tell us how you get on with the machine! :)

Oooh, I think if you use your fabric to make a tea cosy for your mum, she'll have to buy you more fabric, don't you?!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing how you get on with your machine.
I really have to think about getting MY 13-yearold her own sewingmachine...

ReplyDeleteTell your Mum to knit herself a tea cosy - she has enough wool after all! Then you can use all YOUR lovely fabrics to make YOURSELF something special!
ReplyDeleteI love your sewing machine. I've had my eye on one of those for Minx/me for quite some time ;o)
