Sewing books

For Christmas along with other things I got two fantastic sewing books.
They were Stitch! by Cath Kidston
and  Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson.
Stitch! is a book about tapestry and cross stitch, it is full of funky Cath Kidston designs from badges to cushions to bags. It is a brilliant book and I have already started the "Stanley" badge, a badge of the little Lakeland terrier that is featured all over Cath Kidston's wonderful designs.

(I cannot find the camera right now but I will update with a picture of the badge before long)

I have also bought the materials needed for the "Electric Flower Cushion" so I cannot wait to get started on that.

Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts is a fantastic book with a variety of gorgeous gifts in it from coaster to quilt. This book has easy to read patterns and it is split up into sections on how long the project will take to make. I am really excited to get started.

Hope you all had a great Christmas!

  1. Your books look great Dottie - hope you have lots of fun browsing through them and making things. I got a couple of books for Christmas too and I'm so excited to start creating things from them. I think craft books are one of the best Christmas pressies you can get :0)

Have a wonderful New Year x
